Eve Gottesman

Licensed Social Worker

Embarking on a therapeutic journey requires significant bravery. The path may feel unfamiliar and, at times, intimidating. Eve acknowledges that initiating this journey is often challenging. She is committed to working with you throughout the process, establishing a safe environment for open self-expression, and facilitating an understanding of your individual needs.

She works with adults and couples and specializes in issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem and life transitions. Eve has been trained in somatic-based therapy for the treatment of trauma, CBT and solution-focused therapies, and incorporates her play therapy training into working with kids and adolescents. Eve takes a client-centered approach to empower clients to make desired changes and work towards their best authentic selves. She uses her ability to relate and connect to support continued evolution of insight and personal development.

Eve holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to private practice, Eve spent time within the Montessori school system and doing research through the UIC Department of Pediatrics.
