Eve Gottesman, LSW
Seeking therapy takes a great deal of courage. The process can seem unfamiliar and quite scary at times. Eve recognizes that for many, taking that first step is not easy. She will work to guide you through the process, create a safe space to openly express yourself and understand your needs.
Eve works with teens, young adults and adults with issues related to anxiety, depression, trauma, self- esteem and life transitions. Through the use of a variety of therapeutic modalities, including CBT and solution-focused therapies, Eve will help to navigate healthy changes in your life to empower your best authentic self. Eve is also trained in play therapy and has experience utilizing this with kids and adolescents.
Eve holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to private practice, Eve spent time within the Montessori school system and doing research through the UIC Department of Pediatrics.
In her free time, Eve enjoys catching up with family and friends, going for long walks along the river, playing with any puppies she encounters and discovering new music.
