Laura Allison, LPC
Laura Allison is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2019. As part of her training, Laura worked as a therapist at a behavioral health hospital providing individual, family, and group therapy services.
Laura is an engaged and compassionate therapist. She strives to co-create a safe environment with her clients. Laura believes that through therapy, we can undo aloneness and tap into our innate drive toward self-healing and transformation. Laura celebrates with her clients as they experience more connection, clarity, and confidence.
Laura primarily works with adults and adolescents on issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, self-harm, and relational conflict. She acknowledges intersecting identities and welcomes individuals from the LGBTQ community.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Laura held several marketing positions at an e-discovery software company. She is familiar with corporate workplace dynamics, and Microsoft Excel will always have a special place in her heart. In her spare time, Laura enjoys reading, trying out new recipes, and exploring Chicago.
