Jackie (she/her) is a graduate intern therapist at Pure Health Center and is pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northeastern Illinois University. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where clients can deepen their relationship with themselves and move toward meaningful change.
Jackie takes a person-centered, integrative approach to counseling, recognizing that there is not a one-size-fits-all path to healing. She tailors therapy to each client's unique experiences, strengths, needs, and goals, ensuring client care is individualized and collaborative. Drawing from a range of evidence-based approaches, Jackie incorporates psychodynamic theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic practices, and mindfulness to support clients in fostering self-awareness, resilience, and lasting change.
Before her counseling career, Jackie worked as a middle and high school English Language Arts teacher in an alternative school setting, where she discovered the transformative power of strong, authentic relationships in fostering growth and resilience. Working closely with adolescents and young adults who had experienced significant trauma deepened her commitment to providing compassionate and trauma-informed care. Jackie welcomes the opportunity to continue supporting adolescents and young adults while also working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other life transitions.
Jackie offers both in-person and virtual sessions at Pure Health Center’s Lincoln Park location. After graduation, she plans to continue her education to complete the remaining credit hours toward her Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) requirements.
In her free time, Jackie enjoys yoga and Pilates, as well as traveling, reading, and writing poetry. She also loves to explore Chicago with her partner and dog.
