Sara Stumpos

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Sara Stumpos is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with youth, families, and individuals who are seeking guidance towards living a life of acceptance, understanding and stability. She has significant experience helping clients process and understand the impact of traumatic events on daily living, while aiding in the healing process necessary to move forward. Through a holistic lens and approach centered around helping clients understand their choices, Sara helps clients realize their agency in making positive changes in their lives and supports them in enacting those changes.

Sara holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from Michigan State University and The University of Chicago-SSA, respectively. She spent the first seven years of her professional career working in a residential setting with youth and families who had experienced significant trauma, which presented itself in the form of a variety of mental health concerns. Sara utilizes the core values and skills of CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to guide her work with clients to lessen their experiences of anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and interpersonal issues.

Sara enjoys the challenge of a complex board game, listening to a good album (new or old), and embarking on adventures to new cities and countries. She is an avid bullet journaler and has worked toward finding her own peace through writing.
