Megan O'Brien

Megan is a seasoned clinician who works with those across the lifespan but specializes in working with young adults struggling with neurocognitive disorders , pressure with academics, as well as learning and behavioral challenges.  Her expertise extends to resolving interpersonal issues with family, friends, and romantic partners, as well as supporting those dealing with the after effects of trauma. Megan also has significant experience with human sexuality, covering topics from puberty to LGBTQIA+ to concerns and sexual health.

With over 15 years of experience in the field,  Megan has seen the power that comes from an individual’s healing process.  Using a  compassionate yet solution-focused approach, Megan provides her clients with concrete tools to work through distress.  She employs evidenced-based frameworks such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) to provide effective strategies for coping and personal growth.  

Outside of work, Megan spends her time practicing yoga, playing tennis, and biking along the lakefront. She also enjoys taking advantage of what the city has to offer by trying new restaurants and enjoying live music and street festivals with friends and family.
