Sandra is a Pre-licensed Professional Counselor who works with couples, individuals, and families. She is dedicated to building a safe, supportive space where clients can deepen their self-awareness and take meaningful steps toward the life they want. She specializes in exploring early relational trauma and helping clients understand its impact on their present-day lives and connections.
Sandra’s therapeutic approach is warm and collaborative. She believes that clients are the experts on their own stories and that their unique strengths and goals are essential guides in the healing process. She uses an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gestalt, with particular attention to clients’ attachment patterns and somatic experiences.
Sandra earned her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University, her Ed.M. in Human Development from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her B.A. in Psychology from Wheaton College. In her free time, Sandra enjoys finding spots near home and far from the city to hike with her kids, husband, and their loyal red heeler, Vince.
