Suha passionate about working with individuals dealing with complex trauma, eating disorders, or obsessive compulsive disorder. She believes that you are capable and works to create a space where you feel safe to be your most authentic self. Suha primarily works with adults, young adults, and teens. She cares for collaborating with individuals who are trying to gain a better understanding of themselves and may be struggling with intrusive thoughts, feelings of stuckness, boundaries, or within their relationships.

Suha believes that the relationship between the client and the therapist is one of the most important aspects within therapy. Building that trust takes time, and she is more than happy to go at the client's pace. She primarily uses a psychodynamic, narrative, and an ACT lens. However, Suha understands that each client is unique and matches her style to the client. She will collaborate and incorporate feedback to work on creating goals that feel right to the client. Suha also appreciates humor to lighten up difficult topics since she believes that therapy does not necessarily need to be serious all of the time.

Suha’s background as a Muslim American deepens her passion in working with this population. She understands the importance that culture plays within an individual’s life and strives to ensure that each client feels heard. Suha understands the unique experiences that come with being the child of immigrant parents and strives to help clients feel less alone.

Suha earned her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University as well as earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at San Diego State University. Suha enjoys traveling, reality TV, horror movies, and long walks! She loves pilates and recently has been struggling (in a fun way) with lagree. She loves to try new restaurants and is a firm believer in a sweet treat after a meal!
