Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
As a first-generation Latina, Yarely is deeply committed to supporting and empowering Latinx individuals on their journey towards healing and self-discovery. Her personal experiences and cultural background inform her approach, allowing Yarely to offer a unique perspective and a genuine understanding of the challenges and strengths that come with navigating life as part of the Latino community. Yarely’s goal is to validate and honor the unique experience of those who have often gone through life unseen, unheard or afraid of speaking up due to stigma regarding mental health. She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with life transitions, mood disorders, and anxiety. Yarely is bi-lingual and available to provide services in both English and Spanish.
In her practice, Yarely empowers her clients to embrace their true selves and live authentically. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, she helps her clients explore their identities, values, and goals, and recognize their strengths and potential. She incorporates techniques such as CBT, and DBT techniques that her experience and training have provided her. Yarely’s approach supports clients in breaking free from societal expectations and internalized stigma, guiding them towards a more fulfilling and empowered life.
Yarely attended The Chicago School of Professional Psychology for her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from North Central College. During her free time you can find Yarely going on runs, spending time with friends, or exploring the city.
